Danish TIGER

The high street sensation, TIGER, is the Danish creation of Lennart Lajboschitz.  These fun stores seem to be opening up everywhere in UK – and in the world!  The name TIGER  is a play on “tier” which is Danish slang for 10 kroner  (apprx  UK£1).  In Denmark the store’s success is  used as an example for teaching entrepreneurship.

The Guardian newspaper tells the story well here.  So too the Daily Mail here.

Out of interest, there is also a Fashion house ‘Tiger’ [on this blog here], of Swedish origin, though now part of Danish clothing company IC Group.
