Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK)

The Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) does great work in promoting Korean culture in the UK.  It’s in  Northumberland Avenue,  just a short walk from Trafalgar Square.

Friday 12 June 2015 they presented a traditional Korean music concert “Julpungyu”, performed by the Daegu Hyangje Julpungyu Preservation Group.

The key instruments are  Goeomungo (six-string zither), gayageum,(12 string zither), yanggeum (played by striking the strings with a bamboo stick), and Danso (a short bamboo flute). Also as explained here.

The very helpful website “London Korean Links” also explains this well – plus very much more !
